An improved test composition for the diagnosis of gastric disease by detecting the presence of urease associated with H. pylori in a biopsy specimen is described in which the hydrolysis of urea by said urease is detected by a combination of at least two dye indicators showing a color change and a positive result at an acid pH, in which the positive color is distinctive from the color of the biopsy specimen, and in which most positive results occur in 2-10 minutes and all occur in no more than 4 hours. Specific compositions are disclosed.
L'invention concerne une composition améliorée pour le diagnostic d'une maladie gastrique, par mise en évidence d'uréase associée à H. pylori dans un échantillon de biopsie où, tout d'abord, l'hydrolyse de l'urée par ladite uréase est détectée par une combinaison d'au moins deux indicateurs colorés, lesquels montrent un changement de couleur et un résultat positif pour un pH acide, où, ensuite, la couleur positive se distingue de la couleur de l'échantillon de biopsie, et où, enfin, les résultats les plus positifs apparaissent en l'espace de 2-10 minutes et tous les résultats en pas plus de quatre heures.
