ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Tetrahydrothiadiazine thiones of the general formula Image in which one or both R1 and R2 substituents are a radical of the general formula -A-O-R3, wherein A is a straight-chained or branched alkylene having 1 to 12 carbon atoms or p-, m- or o- benzylene and R3 is a straight-chained or branched hydrocarbon radical having 1 to 3 carbon atoms. Said compounds have anti-microbial effects and are prepared by reacting 2 moles of a compound of the general formula H2N-A-O-R3 with 1 mole carbon disulfide and 2 moles formalde- hyde or by reacting 1 mole of a compound of the general formula H2N-A-O-R3 with 1 mole carbon disulfide, 2 moles formaldehyde and 1 mole NH3.
