This invention relates to novel tetrazole and oxadiazalone .beta.-amino acids derivatives of the formula Image wherein G is Image wherein R1 through R4 are defined as in the specification, pharmaceutical compositions containing them and their use for the treatment of various central nervous system and other disorders. The cyclopropyl .beta.-amino acids derivatives of this invention exhibit activity as alpha2delta ligands (.alpha.2.delta. ligands). Such compounds have affinity for the .alpha.2.delta. subunit of a calcium channel.

L'invention se rapporte à de nouveaux dérivés de beta-aminoacide substitués par tétrazole et oxadiazalone de formule I ou II, dans laquelle G représente III ou IV, R<1> à R<4> étant définis conformément à la spécification, à des composés pharmaceutiques les contenant ainsi qu'à leur utilisation pour le traitement de divers troubles du système nerveux central et autres. Les dérivés de beta-aminoacide de cyclopropyle selon l'invention font preuve d'activité en tant que ligands alpha2delta (ligands alpha2d). De tels composés présentent une affinité pour la sous-unité alpha2d d'un canal calcique.
