A Texas gate includes an elongate ground engaging first support and an elongate ground engaging second support positioned in parallel spaced apart relation to the first support. At least two rails are supported by and span between the first support and the second support. A travel surface is provided which consists of a plurality of members in parallel spaced apart relation. The members are supported by and span between the rails. A first ramp is positioned immediately adjacent to the first support and adapted to provide access onto and off of the travel surface. A second ramp is positioned immediately adjacent to the second support and adapted to provide access onto and off of the travel surface.
