TEXTILE FABRIC VERTICAL BLIND VANE Abstract of the Disclosure: The present invention introduces and teaches a shaped or profiled textile fabric vane for use in vertical blinds, and wherein the textile fabric vane is characterized by the absence of undesirable warping or twisting; roll-up; weights; chains; hems; and noise common with conventional verticals in a breeze. The vane according to the present invention includes features simply not attainable with laminations or metal or PVC materials or, for that matter, other textile fabric vanes. With the present invention, the lengths of the vanes are "infinitely" adjustable in the sense that they may be cut with scissors, or the like, and may be easily trimmed, to compensate for walls which may not be perpendicular to floors or ceilings, or to fit over moldings at their bottoms, by way of example only. This invention yet further provides the user with vertical vanes which are able to close tighter together than is possible with conventional verticals having hems and weights, since the latter are thicker at their bottoms. Another feature of this invention resides in soft and pleasing textile aesthetics, with wider choices of appearance now made possible. The present invention teaches and provides a system which includes, without limitation, a shaped or profiled textile vane for use in window-type blinds and which, in one embodiment of the invention, includes a composite textile product achieved by needle punching and stitching one or more of a variety of textile technologies, resinating and thereafter molding same into an elongated vane having a shaped profile which is other than truly flat or planar. Another embodiment provides such an elongated member which consists of fibrous means for holding a resin, a resin, and surface means for providing the appearance and feel of a textile Other forms and embodiments will be appreciated from a reading of the annexed specification.
