Abstract of the Disclosure A textile treating composition is described comprising an aqueous dispersion of (a) a fabric substantive quaternary ammonium textile softening compound having in its molecular structure either two alkyl groups each having 12 to 20 carbon atoms or one alkyl chain having 18 to 24 carbon atoms or a fabric substantive quaternary imidazolinium textile softening compound, and (b) a silicone compound. This gives improved surface concentrations of silicone even with small silicone applications, resulting in easier ironing, improved anti-static properties, pleasanter feel of the fabric and improved soil release properties.
