ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A textile treatment composition in emulsion form which is based on a mixture of cationic and nonionic softener includes an aromatic mono- or di-carboxylic acid as a viscosity modifier. The presence of a carboxylic acid such as benzoic acid or salicylic acid in emulsified mixtures of a di-higher alkyl quaternary ammonium salt and a nonionic material having at least one higher alkyl chain gives a significant increase in viscosity. - 1 -
