The Besk allows the user to be more efficient with their floor space by allowing their bed and their desk to be contained in the same footprint. In addition, the Besk can be locked shut, preventing access to the desk area. This is ideal for dorm rooms where people find themselves in close quarters, often with people they originally don't know. What makes it unique is how it tilts up to allow adequate headroom for when the desk is in use. In addition, when its shut the Besk has a flap that can be locked close, preventing access to the desk and any items on it, behind the flap are 2 lights which light up the desk. The Besk increases the room available to one by including both the desk and bed in the same footprint. There is also a rolling cabinet which is essential to the locking mechanism. It rolls underneath the desk when the bed is down and when the desk is in use it rolls out allowing access to a print, computer tower, or whatever else the user decides to place there. There is a ladder/shelf combination on the front of the cabinet, allowing the user to easily climb into the bed when the unit is closed.
