A process is disclosed for continously preparing polyamides from a mixture of at least one lactam and water, as well as if required other monomer units and/or usual additives and fillers in polyamide-forming conditions. The mixture of initial substances is heated in the liquid phase in a first reaction zone until a conversion rate of at least 70% is reached, then is adiabatically expanded and further polymerised in another fraction zone. In the first reaction zone, 0.5 to 7% by weight water art added to the mixture, the mixture is heated up to a temperature range from 220 to 310 °C and polymerised until a conversion rate of at least 85 % isreached. In the second reaction zone, after the mixture is expanded, it is further polymerised at temperatures in a range from 215 to 300 °C without further heating.

L'invention concerne un procédé de production continue de polyamides à partir d'un mélange comprenant au moins un lactame et de l'eau et, le cas échéant, d'autres motifs monomères et/ou des additifs et des charges classiques, dans des conditions favorables à la formation de polyamides. Le mélange des produits de départ est chauffé en phase liquide dans une première zone de réaction, jusqu'à obtention d'un taux de conversion d'au moins 70 %, puis soumis à une détente de manière adiabatique et à une seconde polymérisation dans une autre zone de réaction. Dans la première zone de réaction, on ajoute au mélange entre 0,5 et 7 % en poids d'eau, la température est élevée jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit comprise entre 220 et 310 DEG C et la polymérisation s'opère jusqu'à obtention d'un taux de conversion d'au moins 85 %. Dans la seconde zone de réaction, après la détente, la polymérisation se poursuit sans apport supplémentaire de chaleur, à des températures comprises entre 215 et 300 DEG C.
