This invention was designed to provide the means of straightening chain saw bars, which are used in harvesting timber with a feller processor or a feller buncher in the logging industry. The Erickson Super Straightener is a tool that consists of two main functional parts. A rotating head plate with an attached handle and the separate bending plate. In order to use the tool the bending plate must be secured by welding or bolting it to a flat working surface. To straighten a saw bar you slide one end of the saw bar through the bending plate, making sure the exposed end of the saw bar is in an upward position. Now the saw bar can be straightened by sliding the rotating head of the straightening tool over the exposed end of the saw bar. By manually applying downward pressure to the handle the operator can remove any bend or twist.
