The Esselgood grill is a two-piece revolving and elevating device for use on open campfires. The Support Stand penetrates 10"into the ground with two prongs for stabilization. The stainless steel cooking surface 'locks' onto the Support Stand by a Locking Plate at the desired position and height above fire. The Locking Plate extends between the handle and the grill at an angle of 13 degrees with a hole in the centre for positioning on the stand. The heat transferred from the grill is dissipated through the coiled handle to create a surface that is comfortable to touch. The weight of the handle and the grill is counter-balanced to create the "lock". (Tested to 301b.) The cooking surface is suspended above the fire and can be swivelled for easy access to the food. The grilling surface can double as a tray or table when positioned away from the fire.
