The present invention discloses the peptide sequence of a so-called minor H antigen. The minor H antigens are associated with the Graft versus Host Disease. The peptide and its derivatives find many uses in bone marrow transplantation, organ transplantation and in the treatment of leukemia. The peptide and its derivatives can be incorporated in vaccines, in pharmaceutical formulations and they can be used in diagnostic test kits. The peptide is derived from the HA-1 minor antigen and has the sequence VLXDDLLEA, wherein X represents a histidine or an arginine residue. Both donors and recipients in bone marrow transplantation can be treated with the peptides, optionally in combination with other peptides, coupled to carriers, with suitable excipients and/or adjuvants.

L'invention concerne la séquence peptidique d'un antigène appelé antigène H mineur. Les antigènes H mineurs sont associés à la réaction du greffon contre l'hôte. Le peptide et ses dérivés trouvent de nombreuses applications dans la transplantation de moelle épinière, la transplantation d'organe et dans le traitement de la leucémie. Ledit peptide et ses dérivés peuvent être incorporés à des vaccins, à des formulations pharmaceutiques et peuvent être utilisés dans des kits d'essais diagnostiques. Le peptide est dérivé de l'antigène mineur HA-1 et présente la séquence VLXDDLLEA, X représentant un reste histidine ou arginine. Les donneurs et les receveurs, dans le cas de la transplantation de moelle osseuse, peuvent être traités à l'aide des peptides, éventuellement conjointement avec d'autres peptides, couplés à des véhicules, des excipients et/ou des adjuvants appropriés.
