This invention is a hand tool for installing tongue and groove flooring systems that includes a base plate, having a small 90 bend downward on one end providing an overhang lip and an inverted V-shaped formation on the opposite end positioned near the edge of the base and affixed to the top surface producing a triangular shaped impact zone where the force is exerted using a mallet or hammer. The preferred embodiment also having a handle in a straight tubular form with bends formed on either end in a downward slope with each end attached to the top surface of the base. It is positioned near the centre and runs parallel to the length of the base. Extending outward and upward from both sides and wrapping around the impact zone end of the base are 45 outward flares that improve the overall rigidity of the tool.
