A hydrostatic oil well pump jack of the present invention has no moving parts onthe power unit and no counterweights to be moved when balancing the jack. The jack can be programmed to vary the acceleration and deceleration of the polish rod as desired to optimize crude production. Unlike prior art devices, the present invention omits a gearbox and other items to make it fairly compact, light weight and portable.
