The invention is a waste receptacle containing a long narrow plastic bag for use in the Care and maintenance of domestic animals. Only a portion of the bag is used each time litter is added - the section is then sealed and a new clean section presented for the next use. The device allows daily cleaning of waste from a litter box for approximately one week per pet, typically a cat, without the need to use other domestic disposal methods such as garbage bags or pails. The device allows the litter and surrounding area to be maintained in an odor free manner, without the inconvenience of keeping a garbage bag nearby with the associated clutter and has the convenience of allowing disposal in a sanitary manner of the collected waste only once per week, probably when the other household garbage is picked up or disposed of.
