The Post Drill System is a tool for drilling holes in rock for the purpose of blasting or installing ground support bolts in underground operations, it is known to have a rail which has affixed to its one end a pneumatic cylinder and on its other end a rubber bumper extending from it. In this invention handles are attached to either side of the rail one of which has attached to it and forming part of it a pneumatic control valve thus allowing the operator to hold the rail on the desired hole angle and by extending the affixed cylinder by means of the control valve is able to extend the rail until the rubber bumper makes solid contract with the rock face to be drilled thus allowing the rail to stand freely. In this invention a pneumatic drill is mounted upon the rail and relies upon an air feed motor and chain to cause it to travel the length of the rail. This action along with the operation of the pneumatic drill is controlled by an air-remote control console which allows for the operator to stand at a safe distance while performing the necessary operations. In this invention an adaptor may be placed on the pneumatic drill allowing the operator to place a ground supporting bolt upon it and cause it to be driven into the hole by means of the pneumatic drill while controlling the operation by means of the remote control console.
