1 On September 2, 2003, I was doing electrical work for a friend of mine who is a barber, in Langley, B.C (Arcade Barber and Stylist). I was installing new lights in his salon. While I was working, he was cutting hair for a client. He was using the clippers, which were plugged into the wall I noticed that the plug always accidentally got unplugged. He then looked at the plug and said "I wish I could fix this problem, the plug keeps getting unplugged with each cut I do." He looked at me and he said, "Can you fix it for me." I said, "Sure, I will do it after I finish with the lighting." During the clients cut, the barber moved to cut the side of the client's hair so he swung the clipper cord around the client. Suddenly the client said to the barber, "Be careful, I do not like it too much when you swing your cord around me like a spider." The barber said, "Don't worry!" A couple of hours later when I completed my electrical task, he requested me to check the clipper plug for him. I checked the plug and noticed that there was nothing wrong with it. I also checked the outlet and figured that it was normal. The Problem was that he was pulling the clipper cord while he was cutting the client's hair. He told me that this was a problem and said, "Someone tried to have a stand hooked up from the ceiling, but the idea failed because the Stand from the ceiling wasn't stable." I looked at the chair and an idea clicked in my mind about a unit to be mounted on the back of the chair or on the side of the chair. I told him about it and he said it may be a good idea I came home and thought about it for two or three days. I came up with a design, which was a squared clipper holder, and I did the first model which I took it back to him to try it out. He tried it for one week and he phoned me back saying that it is a great idea, but it is not good to be squared. I changed the design to a round one, then I took it back to him again. He tried it for one week and then gave me lots of feedback about how to prefect the unit. I made a third model by doing a few of them, and then distributed them to a Few barbers to try them out, the feedback was great! I am now trying to contact Barbers and Beauty Supplies distributors to see Can distribute this unit through them to all North America's Barber's and Salons. In order to do so I must protect my invention through copyrights law. I also have all the original designs /prototype of the clipper and Trimmer holder with me.
