Description

An universal bottom hole orienting sub (UBHO) and fishing tool & technique are designed for the retrievable probe type MWD tool which used to during oil & gas wells. The mean features of the new UBHO are to eliminate the axial shocks affecting MWD tool's performance while drilling operations and cause the major MWD tool failures. Secondly, it adapted a tight support for MWD tool into drill string with fully capability to retrieve & replace MWD tool down hole, especially in the horizontal section, result in reliable & correct transmitted data. The "Mud pushing block" fishing tool & technique using wire line fishing operations implementing the capability to fish and replace MWD tool down hole at any hole inclination, even in the horizontal section "until now the MWD tool fishing operations are limited to certain hole inclination" which lead to increase MWD's marketing value. Main while this fishing tool & technique could be used in wide range in the other wire line through tubing & drill string operations.
