Methods for treating or preventing bacterial or protozoal infections in mammals by administering a single dose of an antibiotic composition comprising a mixture of azalide isomers and a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle are disclosed. Methods for increasing acute or chronic injection-site toleration in mammals by administering a single dose of antibiotic compositions comprising a mixture of azalide isomers and a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle are also disclosed. A combination comprising: an antibiotic composition comprising a mixture of azalide isomers, a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, and instructions for use in a single-dose administration is also disclosed.
La présente invention concerne des procédés de traitement ou de prévention des infections d'origine bactérienne ou protozoaire chez les mammifères qui consistent à administrer une dose unique d'une composition antibiotique renfermant un mélange d'isomères azalide et un excipient pharmaceutiquement acceptable; des procédés qui permettent d'augmenter, chez des mammifères, la tolérance du site d'injection à la réaction inflammatoire aiguë ou chronique au moyen de l'administration d'une dose unique de compositions antibiotiques comprenant un mélange d'isomères azalide et un excipient pharmaceutiquement acceptable ; et un produit composé comprenant une composition antibiotique renfermant un mélange d'isomères azalide, un excipient pharmaceutiquement acceptable et des instructions relatives à l'administration de la dose unique.
