The present invention disclosed the use of benzisoselenazolone compounds, particularly the compounds represented by the general formula (1) as the medicament useful against ischemic myocardial damage. Said compounds are highly active and specific with low toxicity, characterized by selectively inhibiting the exchange of Na/Ca, dilating the blood vessel and reducing the amount of oxygen consumed by myocardial tissue.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation de composés benzisosélénazolones, notamment des composés représentés par la formule générale (I) en tant que médicament utile contre les lésions myocardiques ischémiques. Lesdits composés sont hautement actifs et spécifiques avec une faible toxicité, et se caractérisent en ce qu'ils inhibent sélectivement l'échange de Na/Ca, qu'ils dilatent les vaisseaux sanguins et qu'ils réduisent le taux d'oxygène consommé par le tissu myocardique.
