The present invention is directed to a medicament containing human growth hormone (hGH), which can prevent or decrease the immunosuppression and the onset of infectious diseases such as pneumonia in a hypothermia treatment. It has been recognized to show remarkable effects on the lifesaving and/or recovery improvement of a patient with serious cerebral injury, and contributes to the expansion of the range of application, and the improvement of lifesaving effect of hypothermia treatment.
