"A front carrier, made of fabric, is available for transporting babies. The child is slipped inside and the carrier is supported by shoulder straps. In this invention, the child sits on a small seat that is secured at hip level by means of a belt around the waist and straps over the shoulders. This seat distributes the weight of the child between the parent's hips and shoulders."
