A theft-resistant display case (10) includes a housing (12) having a lower storage section (14) and an upper display section (16) mounted above the storage section. The storage section has an obscuring exterior wall and the display section has an exterior wall that is at least partly transparent. A platform (42) is movably mounted within the housing for supporting items to be displayed. The platform is selectively raised into a first position in the housing wherein items supported on the platform are displayed in the upper section of the housing. The platform is selectively lowered into a second position in the housing wherein items supported on the platform are stored in the lower section of the housing. An obscuring closure (54) is selectively interposed between the upper and lower sections when the platform is in the second position such that the platform and items supported thereon are enclosed within the lower section of the housing and hidden from view.
L'invention concerne une vitrine d'exposition antivol (10) comprenant un corps (12) avec une section inférieure de rangement (14) et une section supérieure d'exposition (16) montée par-dessus la section de rangement. La section de rangement comporte une paroi extérieure obscurcissante et la section d'exposition comporte une paroi extérieure au moins en partie transparente. Une plate-forme (42) est montée amovible à l'intérieur du corps pour servir de support à des articles à exposer. La plate-forme est sélectivement élevée dans une première position à l'intérieur du corps, lorsque des articles disposés sur la plate-forme sont exposés dans la section supérieure du corps. La plate-forme est sélectivement abaissée dans une deuxième position à l'intérieur du corps, lorsque des articles disposés sur la plate-forme sont rangés dans la section inférieure du corps. Une fermeture obscurcissante (54) est sélectivement interposée entre la section supérieure et la section inférieure lorsque la plate-forme se trouve dans la deuxième position, de telle sorte que la plate-forme et les articles auxquels elle sert de support sont enfermés dans la section inférieure du corps et cachés à la vue.
