A therapeutic agent for diabetes comprising a compound represented by general formula (I) [wherein X represents (a), (b) or (c)] [wherein R4 and R5, which may be the same or different, represent a hydrogen atom, or an optionally substituted alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms and R6 represents a hydrogen atom or an amino protective group; R1 represents an optionally substituted alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms or an optionally substituted alkenyl group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms; R2 represents a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms; R2' represents a hydrogen atom; and R3 represents an optionally substituted alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms], a prodrug compound thereof, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a hydrate thereof, or a solvate thereof. The agent has an excellent blood sugar lowering activity in the case of a high blood sugar level, does not influence the blood sugar in the case of a normal blood sugar level, that is, does not cause any severe side effect, such as hypoglycemia, and is useful not only as a therapeutic agent but also as a prophylactic for chronic complications of diabetes.
L'invention concerne un agent thérapeutique contre le diabète, comprenant un composé représenté par la formule générale (I) [où X représente (a), (b) ou (c)] [où R¿4? et R¿5?, identiques ou différents, représentent un atome d'hydrogène, ou un groupe alkyle éventuellement substitué ayant 1 à 5 atomes de carbone et R¿6? représente un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupe amino-protecteur; R¿1? représente un groupe alkyle éventuellement substitué ayant 1 à 5 atomes de carbone ou un groupe alcényle éventuellement substitué ayant 2 à 6 atomes de carbone; R¿2? représente un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupe alkyle éventuellement substitué ayant 1 à 5 atomes de carbone; R¿2?' représente un atome d'hydrogène; et R¿3? représente un groupe alkyle éventuellement substitué ayant 1 à 5 atomes de carbone], ainsi qu'une prodrogue, un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable, un hydrate ou un solvate de celui-ci. Cet agent possède une excellente activité d'abaissement de la glycémie en cas de glycémie élevée, n'influence pas la glycémie en cas de glycémie normale, c'est-à-dire qu'il n'a pas d'effet secondaire grave, tel que l'hypoglycémie, et il est utile non seulement comme agent thérapeutique mais aussi comme agent prophylactique des complications chroniques du diabète.
