A compound represented by formula (I): (see fig. I) wherein, for example, R1, R2, R3, and R4 each represents a hydrogen atom; R6 and R7 each represent a substituted or unsubstituted lower alkyl group; A represents a group represented by formula (II): (see fig. II) wherein R5 represents, for example, a hydrogen atom; and n represents an integer of 2 to 6, or possible stereoisomers, optical isomers and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, have an inhibitory action on the generation of active oxygene species and the increase of intracellular calucium concentration and thus are useful as a therapeutic agent for ischemic diseases. -142-

Cette invention concerne un composé, lequel peut être représenté de manière générale par la formule suivante (I), ainsi que les stéréo-isomères, isomères optiques et sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables dudit composé, où: R>1<, R>2<, R>3< et R>4< sont chacun de l'hydrogène, etc.; R>6< et R>7< représentent chacun un alkyle inférieur éventuellement substitué; A représente un groupe dont la formule générale est la suivante (II), où R>5< représente de l'hydrogène, etc.; et n est un nombre entier entre 2 et 6. Ces composés sont capables d'arrêter la formation d'oxygène actif ainsi que l'augmentation de calcium intracellulaire, et peuvent donc être employés comme médicaments contre les maladies ischémiques.
