A preventing, curing or ameliorating agent for joint diseases associated with arthritis, particularly rheumatoid arthritis, which comprises as an active ingredient a quinone derivative represented by the following general formula (I)or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof: (see fig. I) wherein n is 0 or an integer from 1 to 12 and R is a methyl or methoxy group.
