A new medicinal use of E-4-[4-(5-methyl-2~phenyl-4- oxazolylmethoxy)benzyloxyimino]-4-phenylbutyric acid, Z-2-[4-(5-methyl-2- phenyl-4-oxazolylmethoxy)benzyl~oxyimino]-2-(4-phenoxyphenyl)acetic acid, 2-[2- propyl-3~[3-[2-ethyl-4-(4-fluorophenyl)-5- hydroxyphenoxy]propoxy]~phenoxy]benzoic acid, 2(S)-methoxy-3-[4-[3- (4~phenoxyphenoxy)propoxy]phenyl]propionic acid, or a salt of any of these. These carboxylic acid compounds and salts thereof each produces an excellent alleviating effect on corneal disorder models and is useful as a therapeutic agent for keratoconjunctiva disorders such as dry eye, corneal ulcer, keratitis, conjunctivitis, superficial punctate keratopathy, subepithelial corneal defects, subepithelial conjunctival defects, keratoconjunctivitis sicca, superior limbic keratoconjunctivitis, and filamentary keratitis.
Nouvelle utilisation médicinale de l'acide E-4-[4-(5-méthyl-2-phényl-4-oxazolylméthoxy)benzyloxyimino]-4-phénylbutyrique, de l'acide Z-2-[4-(5-méthyl-2-phényl-4-oxazolylméthoxy)benzyloxyimino]-2-(4-phénoxyphényl)acétique, de l'acide 2-[2-propyl-3-[3-[2-éthyl-4-(4-fluorophényl)-5-hydroxyphénoxy]propoxy]phénoxy]benzoïque, de l'acide 2(S)-méthoxy-3-[4-[3-(4-phénoxyphénoxy)propoxy]phényl]propionique ou d'un sel de l'un quelconque de ceux-ci. Ces composés acides carboxyliques et les sels de ceux-ci produisent chacun un excellent effet de soulagement sur des modèles de troubles cornéens et ils sont utiles comme agent thérapeutique pour des troubles de type kératoconjonctivites, tels que la sécheresse de l'oeil, un ulcère cornéen, une kératite, une conjonctivite, une kératopathie ponctuée superficielle, des défauts cornéens sous-épithéliaux, des défaut conjonctivaux sous-épithéliaux, une kératoconjonctivite sèche, une kératoconjonctivite limbique supérieure et une kératite filamenteuse.
