Quantitative compliance markers and associated methods for monitoring patient compliance with medication prescriptions associated with compliance markers have been found to eliminate the need for specific quantitative relationships for each new drug tested. Such compliance markers and methods for monitoring patient compliance utilize pharmacologically inert substances, namely the weak acids benzodiazepines, or non-metabolizable substances in association with an underlying drug at a measurable dosage, so as to correlate compliance marker concentration with underlying medication concentration to determine amount of actual medication ingested.
L'invention concerne des marqueurs d'observation quantitative et les méthodes correspondantes permettant de surveiller l'observation par un patient des prescriptions médicales en rapport avec lesdits marqueurs d'observation; l'invention permet de se passer de relations quantitatives spécifiquement applicables à chaque nouveau médicament testé. Les marqueurs et les méthodes faisant l'objet de la présente invention reposent sur des substances inertes au point de pharmacologique, à savoir des benzodiazépines d'acides faibles ou des substances non métabolisables, combinées au médicament correspondant à une dose mesurable pour pouvoir corréler les concentrations des marqueurs d'observation et celles du médicament correspondant afin de déterminer la quantité de médicament réellement ingérée.
