ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A diaper with an essentially rectangular shape having a pair of waistline portions along the opposite, shorter edges of the rectangle. Fasteners attached to the waistline portion. Padding and means to locate the padding. A crotch portion intermediate the waistline portions is defined by paired slopes cut from the oppo- site longer edges of said rectangular shape. The crotch portion has padding of an initial width and thickness to ensure that the wearer is maintained in the lithotomy position or an approximation thereof.
