A foam is described for injection treatment of varicose veins. The foam comprises a sclerosant liquid, e.g. polidocanol solution, and a gas. The gas comprises xenon, optionally together with at least one other physiologically acceptable gas which is readily absorbed in the body or blood of a patient. The gas comprises only a minimal amount of gaseous nitrogen, between 0.0001% and 0.8%.

L'invention porte sur une mousse destinée à un traitement, par injection, de veines variqueuses. Cette mousse contient un liquide sclérosant, par exemple une solution de polidocanol, et un gaz. Ce gaz contient du xénon, facultativement en combinaison avec au moins un autre gaz physiologiquement acceptable qui est rapidement absorbé dans le corps ou le sang d'un patient. Ce gaz contient seulement une quantité minimale d'azote gazeux, entre 0,0001 % et 0,8 %.
