THERMAL CUTTING MACHINE FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING PLANT Abstract A thermal cutting machine consists of a car that travels on rails disposed on either side of a strand to be cut and which bears a movable cutter that is engaged by the strand by a bearing system that is placed on top of the strand. The invention is characterised in that the bearing system is coupled to an external drive mechanism. In this way it can be placed automatically on or removed from the strand.
