L'invention concerne un détecteur thermique de structure monolithique comprenant une couche de matériau sensible aux rayonnements infrarouge et une couche isolante constituée par un polymère thermostable déposable en couche mince et présentant une structure microporeuse. Cette couche isolante permet de découpler thermiquement la couche sensible, du substrat comportant des circuits de lecture, dont est équipé le détecteur. Les performances des détecteurs infrarouge monolithiques actuels peuvent ainsi être sensiblement améliorées grâce à la réduction notable des pertes thermiques au niveau de la couche sensible et ce grâce à la conductivité thermique fortement réduite de la couche de polymère diélectrique.
