ABSTRACT A thermal development station is disclosed for recording material to be developed by means of heat. A rotatable drum is provided together with a heating ele- ment adapted to a curvature of the drum surface. The recording material is transported through by the drum between the drum and the heating element, and also be- tween the drum and a non-heated element likewise adapted to the curvature of the surface of the drum. The non- heated element is provided at the entry point for the recording material into a heated zone between the heating element and drum.
