Thermal insulation sheath for pipes comprising a tube (11) made of a compact and flexible elastomer-type material designed to be in contact with the pipe to be insulated. The inner surface of the sheath is provided with a helical groove (12), which forms, between its adjacent spires, a coil (14) filled with air or gas when the sheath is fitted around said pipe.
