A substantially triangular piece of flexible material, which has the appearance of a delta-winged aircraft when flattened. The piece of flexible material has a first wing portion, a second wing portion, a central body portion therebetween, and a body-facing side. The neck wrap also has a plurality of individual thermal elements embedded therein. The plurality of thermal elements have a pattern which approximates the shape and location of muscles in the user's upper back, lower neck, and shoulders. The pattern has a gap bisecting the central portion corresponding to the user's spine. The neck wrap also has means for maintaining the piece of flexible material in a desired position once the piece of flexible material has been draped over the user's shoulders. The central portion is centered at the user's upper back and lower neck and the first and second wing portions lay across the user's shoulders and rest on the user's chest. The means for maintaining the piece of flexible material in position includes counterweights attached to the first and second wing portions in order to balance the thermal elements in the central portion and at least one strip of foamed polymer attached to each of the first and second wing portions on said body-facing side thereof.
Morceau pratiquement triangulaire de matériau flexible qui a l'apparence d'une aile delta lorsqu'il est à plat et qui possède une première partie aile, une seconde partie aile, une partie centrale entre ces deux parties et une face destinée à venir en contact avec le corps du sujet. Ladite collerette comporte également des éléments thermiques intégrés. La pluralité d'éléments thermiques possède un profil épousant approximativement la forme et l'emplacement des muscles de l'utilisateur au niveau du haut du dos, de la base du cou et des épaules. Ledit profil comporte une dépression qui divise la partie centrale et correspond à la colonne vertébrale de l'utilisateur. Ladite collerette possède également un dispositif permettant de maintenir la pièce de matériau flexible dans une position désirée, une fois que celui-ci couvre les épaules de l'utilisateur. La partie centrale est centrée sur le haut du dos de l'utilisateur et sur la base de son cou et les parties ailes reposent sur les épaules et tombent sur la poitrine. Le dispositif permettant de maintenir en place ladite pièce de matériau flexible comporte des contrepoids attachés aux première et seconde parties ailes afin d'équilibrer les éléments thermiques de la partie centrale, et au moins une bande de mousse polymère attachée à chacune des première et seconde parties ailes sur la face en contact avec le corps.
