A protective cover (9) used for a thermal printing head having a radiating plate (1) in which a plurality of fixing holes (10) are formed, a head base plate (2) and a circuit board (3), the radiating plate (1) being provided with a groove (1a), by which an upper surface of the radiating plate (1) is divided into first and second regions (1b, 1c), the head base plate (2) being mounted with a heating resistor (4) and a driving IC (5) covered with a resin coat layer (6), the circuit board (3) being provided with through holes (11), the protective cover (9) being further provided with a body (9a) having an upper surface and a lower surface opposite to the upper surface, and a plurality of pin members (12) extending from the lower surface, each of the pin members (12) being provided with a slit (12a), whereby each pin member (12) can be press-fitted easily in one corresponding fixing hole (10) out of the above fixing holes (10).

Ce couvercle protecteur (9) utilisé pour une tête d'impression par transfert thermique comporte une plaque rayonnante (1) dans laquelle sont ménagés plusieurs trous de montage (10), une plaque d'assise de tête (2) et une plaquette de circuit (3). Une gorge (1a), ménagée dans la plaque rayonnante (1) divise la surface supérieure de celle-ci en deux zones (1b, 1c). La plaque d'assise de tête (2) comporte une résistance chauffante (4) et un circuit intégré d'attaque (5) enduit d'une couche de résine (6) et dans lequel sont ménagées des traversées (11). Le couvercle protecteur (9) est constitué d'un corps (9a) portant sur sa face inférieure plusieurs broches (12), chacune d'elles portant une encoche (12a) et pouvant être, de ce fait, facilement insérée à la force dans le trou de montage (10) correspondant.
