A free-blast method for extracting ore from an ore vein deposit (12) wherein the vein is extracted by causing the ore comprised between the rock walls (16) bordering the vein (12) to spall into fragments. The ore fragments are recuperated as by aspiration and subsequently processed to retrieve the precious mineral.

L'invention concerne un procédé sans explosion permettant d'extraire un minerai d'un gisement filonien de minerai (12) la veine étant extraite par éclatement en fragments du minerai contenu entre les parois rocheuses (16) bordant la veine (12). Les fragments de minerai sont récupérés, par exemple, par aspiration, puis ils sont ultérieurement traités de manière à récupérer le minéral précieux.
