TITLE THERMALLY PROTECTIVE ENCLOSURE MEANS FOR WINDOWS, SLIDING GLASS DOORS, GLASS WALL PANELS AND THE LIKE ABSTRACT A thermally protective enclosure body for use with a wall structure having exposed glass as it occurs in windows, sliding glass doors, glass wall panels and the like includes movable insulation means and retainer rod means for supporting the movable insulation means on the said wall in suspended relationship therewith. The movable insulation means includes inner and outer panels of material reversely turned to form complementary drapery folds movable towards and away from one another along the said retainer rod. The movable insulation means is further characterized in that the complementary drapery folds of each panel are arranged with a predetermined spacing which defines a vertical space of unique insulating value, and portions of the drapery folds are selectively fastened to- gether to uniformly maintain the said spacing when the drapery folds are moved toward and away from one another. The enclosure may also include a heat cap supported on the retainer rod and opposite edges of the enclosure body may be sealably fastened to the said wall to prevent flow of heat inwardly or outwardly.
