CONSOLIDATED NUCLEAR STEAM GENERATOR ABSTRACT In an illustrative embodiment of the invention the secondary coolant system for a nuclear power steam generator is provided with; an improved thermally shielded feedwater inlet penetration for the reactor pressure vessel that alleviates thermal stresses; shrouded feedwater inlet lines for the modular vapor generator within the pressure vessel to enhance feedwater vaporization stability; and a return bend that joins a pair of secondary coolant lines through a tee connection to a manifold in order to restrain, in the event of a pipe failure, the unrestricted movement of a parted live steam line.
