Thermocycler having a base body, which has a temperature-controllable receiving region for reaction vessels, and having a lid which can be brought into a working position over the receiving region, wherein, in the working position of the lid, a gas-tight wall is provided extending between lid and base body and configured so as to surround the receiving region, which wall is sealed off with respect to lid and base body.
