ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A thermoformable polymer blend composition is provided herein comprising 54 to 82% by weight of polyethylene or polypropylene; 15 to 40% by weight of a styrene polymer; 2 to 10% by weight of a thermoplastic styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer rubber compatibilizer; said compatibilizer having a softness parameter of greater than 200 psi in terms of the 300% modulus and a melt ineex of 1.4 to 22 grams/10 min. under Condition G of ASTM Test D 1238-73. Processes of molding articles and sheets from this blend are also provided. These polymer blends have a combination of useful properties including thermoformability, resis- tance to fats, ductility, low temperature impact strength, printability, relatively low cost and other characteristics which make them attractive materials for use in many applications, e.g., packaging, plastic dinner- ware, non-packaging containers, refrigerator liners, etc. This blend can be formed on conventional machinery by any of the known thermoplastic forming techniques, e.g., injection molding, thermoforming, stamping, forging, solid phase forming, rotary molding or the like to give products having the beneficial properties of both types of polymers.
