A thermoforming machine comprises a cutting punch having a length corresponding to the minimum width of a plastic material to be cut through. A drive device is provided for driving the punch in a cross direction to the plastic material being fed, to cover the overall width of the latter. The inventive machine provides the possibility of cutting plastic material plates or coils, even of different widths, by using a single cutting system.
