ABSTRACT A composition of matter comprising asphalt, polyethylene and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and particularly a comp- osition wherein there is present from about 85% to about 30% w/w of asphalt, from about 10% to about 50% w/w of polyethyl- ene and from about 5% to about 40% w/w of ethylene-vinyl ace- tate copolymer. Such a composition is useful as a waterproof- ing agent and may be used as a waterproofing membrane in roof- ing, canal lining and pond lining. It can also be used in road construction.
