Thermoplastic carbonate-modified copolyesters and a process for their preparation Abstract of Disclosure Carbonate-modified copolyesters which are suitable for the production of mouldings by injection moulding or for the production of pipes, films and fibres by ex- trusion, can be obtained by reacting aromatic dicarboxylic acids or their ester-forming derivatives and carbonic acid esters of dihydric aliphatic alcohols which have carbonic acid ester groupings in the molecule and hydroxy- alkyl end groups.
