MN 3978 "THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITIONS BASED ON A VINYL AROMATIC COPOLYMER AND A POLYAMIDE RESIN" A B S T R A C T Thermoplastic compositions having improved mecha= nical characteristics, stiffness and thermoresistance com= prising a blend of: (A) an impact resistant vinyl aromatic copolymer comprising a vinyl aromatic monomer and an ethylenically unsatura= ted nitrile wherein the monomers are polymerized in the presence of and grafted on a rubber substrate having a glass transition temperature (Tg) lower than 0°C; (B) a polyamide resin; (C) a compatibilizing polymer comprising at least a copoly= merized monomer containing a functional group reactive with the polyamide resin, said monomer being present in an amount substantially equal to the ethylenically unsa= turated nitrile of the vinyl aromatic monomer-ethyleni= cally unsaturated nitrile copolymer.
