The invention concerns a thermoplastic container, such as a bottle, obtained by extrusion-blow or injection-blow moulding, and having a petaloid base (6, 7). The invention is characterised in that the base comprises a convex wall (7) hemispherical in shape; said wall (7) is linked to the wall (2) forming the container body by a marginal zone (8) with a curve (R1, R2). Members (6) originate from the hemispherical wall (7) and are separated in pairs by a part thereof; the top end of each member is directly linked to the wall (2) forming the body.

L'invention concerne un récipient en matière thermoplastique, tel qu'une bouteille, obtenu par extrusion-soufflage ou injection-soufflage, et possédant un fond pétaloïde (6, 7). Conformément à l'invention, le fond comporte une paroi (7) convexe présentant la caractéristique d'être hémisphérique; cette paroi (7) est reliée à la paroi (2) formant le corps du récipient par une zone marginale (8) présentant une courbure (R1, R2). Des pieds (6) partent de la paroi hémisphérique (7) et sont séparés deux à deux par une partie de celle- ci; l'extrémité supérieure de chaque pied est reliée directement à la paroi (2) formant le corps.
