A partially crosslinked thermoplastic elastomer composition having an excellent heat-bondability is obtained by kneading a mixture containing a peroxide-crosslinking olefin copolymer rubber and an .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof in a molten state under heating in the presence of an organic peroxide. An olefinic plastic such as polyethylene and polypropylene may also be contained in the mixture. The partially crosslinked thermoplastic elastomer composition has improved moldability and is useful for forming laminates or coverings of metals.
