A thermoplastic elastomer composition which not only retains the vibration- damping properties characteristic of isobutylene polymers but also is rich in flexibility and excellent in moldability and rubbery properties and especially has improved compression set characteristics. The thermoplastic elastomer composition is characterized by comprising: (A) a composition obtained by crosslinking, with melt-kneading, an alkenyl-terminated isobutylene polymer with a hydrosilylated compound in the presence of at least one member selected from the group consisting of thermoplastic aromatic vinyl elastomers and olefin resins; and (B) at least one member selected from the group consisting of thermoplastic aromatic vinyl elastomers and olefin resins.
L'invention concerne une composition élastomère thermoplastique conservant non seulement les caractéristiques des propriétés d'amortissement de vibrations des polymères isobutylène, mais qui présente également une très bonne flexibilité et d'excellentes propriétés de moulage et de toucher caoutchouteux, ainsi que notamment de meilleures caractéristiques de rémanence à la compression. Cette composition élastomère thermoplastique se caractérise en ce qu'elle comprend : (A) une composition obtenue par réticulation, avec malaxage par voie fondue, d'un polymère isobutylène à terminaison alkyle avec un composé hydrosilylé, en présence d'au moins un élément sélectionné dans le groupe comprenant des élastomères vinyle aromatique thermoplastiques et des résines oléfiniques ; et (B) au moins un élément sélectionné dans le groupe comprenant des élastomères vinyle aromatique thermoplastiques et des résines oléfiniques.
