A thermoplastic based pavement marking sheet is disclosed. The sheet comprises a polyolefin thermoplastic top layer having an exposed surface, particles semi-embedded in the exposed surface and a thickness of 80 to 250 micrometers. An adhesive layer is attached to the bottom side of the marking sheet.
