ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Thermoplastic molding compounds which have high cold impact strength are disclosed. The molding compounds are compris- ed of (i) a polyamide 1012 with a relative viscosity in the range of 1.5-3.0; and (ii) a plasticizer in the amount of 2-25 wt. based on the weight of the polyamide. The molding compounds enable manufacture of molded pieces. The plasticizer is, for example, a C2-12 alcohol ester of p-hydroxybenzoic acid or a C2-12 amine amide of arylsulfonic acid.
